In den Jahren 2015 und 2016 wurde das Vorkommen der Waldameisen in den Kantonen Basel-Landschaft und Basel-Stadt systematisch kartiert. Neben der genauen Positionsbestimmung mittels GPS wurde auch die Waldameisenart bestimmt.
