Die Ebene Strassennetz (Abkürzung str) von VECTOR25 umfasst das gesamte Strassen- und Wegnetz der Landeskarte 1:25'000. Die Klassierung der Strassen (Objektarten) entspricht der Kartenlegende. In den deutschen und französischen Grenzgebieten wurde aus diesem Grund die ausländische Klassierung (z.B. Wirtweg oder route étroite) verwendet. Die Strassen bilden ein Liniennetz: Strassenabschnitte (Kanten), welche sich niveaugleich kreuzen, haben einen gemeinsamen Knoten. Damit ist eine Routensuche grundsätzlich möglich. Strassenklassen, welche nur in eine Richtung befahren werden können (z.B. Autobahneinfahrt), sind in der Fahrtrichtung erfasst. Das übrige Verkehrsregime (Fahrverbote, Einbahnstrassen, Abbiegeverbote) ist in VECTOR25 nicht enthalten. Strassenabschnitte, welche in Tunnels oder auf Brücken verlaufen, sind entsprechend attributiert. Das Attribut "HikingType" kennzeichnet die offiziellen markierten Wanderwege (Schweizer Wanderwege, SAW).

La couche Réseau routier (abréviation str) de VECTOR25 comprend le réseau complet des routes et des chemins figurant sur la Carte nationale 1:25'000. La classification (catégories d'objet) correspond à la légende de la carte. Pour cette raison, en régions frontalières allemande et française, la classification étrangère est conservée (p.ex. Wirtweg ou route étroite). Les routes constituent un réseau de lignes: les tronçons (arcs) qui se croisent au même niveau ont un noeud commun permettant la planification de routes. Les catégories de routes qui ne peuvent être empruntées que dans un sens défini (p.ex. entrée d'autoroute) sont saisies avec le sens de la direction. Les autres indications concernant l'organisation de la circulation ne sont pas contenues (p.ex. interdiction de circuler ou de tourner, sens unique, etc.). Les tronçons de routes qui passent dans des tunnels ou sur des ponts ont un attribut correspondant. L'attribut "HikingType" indique les chemins de randonnée pédestre officiels balisés (FSTP).

Il livello Rete stradale (abbreviazione str) di VECTOR25 comprende la rete completa delle strade e dei sentieri riportati sulla Carta nazionale 1:25'000. La classificazione (categorie di oggetti) corrisponde alla legenda della carta. Per questo motivo, nelle zone di frontiera tedesche e francesi è stata adottata la classificazione straniera (p.es. Wirtweg o route étroite). Le strade costituiscono una rete di linee: i tronconi di strade (archi) che non si incrociano allo stesso livello possiedono un nodo comune, rendendo così possibile per pricnipio la ricerca di un itinerario. Le classi di strade che possono essere percorse in una sola direzione (p.es. ingresso autostradale) sono rilevate nella direzione di marcia. Le altre indicazioni relative all'organizzazione della circolazione (divieti di circolazione, sensi unici, divieti di svolta) non sono contenuti in VECTOR25. I tronconi stradali che attraversano gallerie o passano su ponti possiedono un attributo corrispondente. L'attributo "HikingType" caratterizza i sentieri escursionistici ufficiali (Sentieri Svizzeri, SAW).

The layer road network (abbreviation "str") from VECTOR25 includes the entire road- and pathnetwork of the National Map 1:25'000. The road classification (kind of object) corresponds to the map legend. For this reason the foreign classification (e.g. "Wirtweg" or "route étroite") was used for the adjoining French and German territory. The roads form a line network: road sections (edges) which cross at the same level have a common node. Basically, this allows a route search. Oriented road classifications which can only be traveled in one direction (e.g. freeway entrance) are stored as such. The remaining traffic regulations (one-way streets, no turns, prohibited to traffic) are not taken into account in VECTOR25. Roads going through tunnels or over bridges are attributed respectively. The attribute "HikingType" identifies the official marked trails (Swiss Hiking Federation).
