Landschaftstypen
Die Landschaftstypisierung ist der Analyse-Teil der kantonalen Landschaftskonzeption, eine Strategie für eine kohärente Landschaftspolitik. Für die Typisierung wurden für die gesamte Kantonsfläche die charakteristischen Landschaften und deren Merkmale identifiziert, beschrieben und räumlich zugeordnet.

Die vorliegende Landschaftstypologie ist eine fachliche Grundlage und steht dem Kanton, den Regionen, den Gemeinden und Planungsbüros für verschiedene Aufgaben – so auch für die anstehende Überarbeitung des kantonalen Richtplans – im Bereich Landschaft zur Verfügung. Eine solche flächendeckende kantonale Landschaftskonzeption wird auch vom Bund (BAFU/ARE) als Grundlage für den Kantonalen Richtplan vorgeschlagen und ist im Zusammenhang mit den Finanzhilfen nach Art. 13 NHG in der Programmvereinbarung «Landschaft» des BAFU verankert.
