Federal Register of Buildings and Dwellings: building status
The Federal Register of Buildings and Dwellings (RegBL) was created on the basis of information from the 2000 population census for statistical purposes.
The RDB has established itself as the standard national information system for buildings, not least thanks to the total revision of his ordinance, which came into force on July 1, 2017.
The RDB contains information on construction projects, buildings, dwellings, entrances, and streets.
Level A data are public and can be used without restriction.
The data layer "RDB: building status" graphically illustrates the status of buildings and their entrance number(s).

Gemäss Art. 16 der Verordnung über das eidgenössische Gebäude- und Wohnungsregister vom 1. Juli 2017 (VGWR; SR 431.841) veröffentlicht das BFS die Daten der Berechtigungsstufen A im Internet. Die Bereitstellung der Strassen und der Gebäudeadressen (beide Stufe A) erfolgt gemäss Art. 26a und 26c der Verordnung über die geografischen Namen vom 21. Mai 2008 (GeoNV; SR 510.625) durch swisstopo. Das BFS teilt swisstopo die Daten und periodisch alle Änderungen mit (Art. 26a Abs. 3 und 26c Abs. 2 GeoNV).

Das Gebäude- und Wohnungsregister umfasst alle Gebäude, mit und ohne Wohnnutzung, und deren Wohnungen in der Schweiz. Jedes Gebäude und jede Wohnung verfügt über eine eindeutige Identifikationsnummer sowie über eine Adresse. Weitere Grunddaten wie Alter, Grösse, Energieversorgung usw. liefern dank der ständigen Nachführung ein aktuelles Bild des Gebäude- und Wohnungsbestandes der Schweiz. Angaben zu Bewohnern, Eigentumsverhältnissen, Mietpreisen und dergleichen sind dagegen im GWR nicht enthalten.

Die GWR-Grunddaten stammen aus der Gebäude- und Wohnungserhebung der Volkszählung 2000. Die Datennachführung erfolgt seit dem Jahr 2001 koordiniert mit der Bau- und Wohnbaustatistik des BFS, welche jährlich detaillierte Angaben über die Bautätigkeit in der Schweiz erhebt. Die kommunalen und kantonalen Baubehörden melden dem BFS alle bewilligungspflichtigen Bauvorhaben (Neubauten, Umbauten, Abbrüche) via Internet, über definierte Schnittstellen. Zusätzlich werden aktuelle Angaben zu Parzellennummern, Gebäudenummern, Gebäudekoordinaten sowie Adressen aus den Datenbeständen der amtlichen Vermessung übernommen.
