Die Ebene Eisenbahnnetz (Abkürzung eis) umfasst alle Eisenbahn-Strecken entsprechend der Landeskarte 1:25'000. Die Eisenbahnen bilden ein Liniennetz: Strecken, welche in Weichen zusammenlaufen oder sich verzweigen, haben einen gemeinsamen Knoten. Damit ist eine Routensuche grundsätzlich möglich.Eisenbahnabschnitte, welche in Tunnels oder auf Brücken verlaufen, sind entsprechend attributiert.

La couche thématique Réseau ferroviaire (abréviation eis) contient toutes les lignes de chemins de fer figurant sur la Carte nationale 1:25'000. Les chemins de fer forment un réseau de lignes: les voies convergeant à un aiguillage ou se ramifiant possèdent un noeud commun ce qui permet d'effectuer une planification de routes.Les tronçons de chemins de fer qui passent dans des tunnels ou sur des ponts ont un attribut correspondant.

Il livello Rete ferroviaria (abbreviazione eis) comprende tutte le linee ferroviarie secondo la Carta nazionale 1:25'000. Le ferrovie costituiscono una rete di linee: le tratte che convergono in scambi o che si ramificano hanno un nodo comune.Questo consente di effettuare la pianificazione di itinerari. Le tratte ferroviarie che passano attraverso gallerie o su ponti presentano un attributo corrispondente.

The layer railway network (abbreviation "eis") includes all railway lines shown on the National Map 1:25'000. The railway lines form a line network: sections which meet or diverge at switches have a common node which basically allows route searches. Railway sections running through tunnels or over bridges are attributed respectively.
