Die sogenannten «Technischen Aufnahmen», die ab den 1880er-Jahren erstellt wurden, bilden den ältesten Sammlungsteil der Bildsammlung von swisstopo. Er umfasst rund 40'000 fotografische Objekte. Die Aufnahmen zeigen häufig Referenzpunkte der Landestriangulationen. Dieser Sammlungsteil dokumentiert aber auch, wie seinerzeit gearbeitet wurde. Er erzählt damit Geschichten aus dem abenteuerlichen Leben der Landestopografen.

Les « prises de vue techniques », comme on les appelle, prises dès les années 1880 composent la plus ancienne partie de la collection d’images de swisstopo. Elle comprend près de 40000 objets photographiques. Les clichés montrent surtout des points de référence des triangulations nationales. Cependant, cette partie de la collection documente aussi les méthodes de travail de l’époque. Elle raconte ainsi des histoires de la vie aventureuse des topographes nationaux.

Le cosiddette «Fotografie tecniche», scattate a partire dal 1880, costituiscono la parte più antica della collezione fotografica di swisstopo, comprendente circa 16000 oggetti fotografici. Le fotografie mostrano per la maggior parte dei punti delle triangolazioni. Questa parte della collezione documenta anche il modo in cui si svolgeva il lavoro all’epoca. Racconta storie della vita avventurosa dei topografi svizzeri.

The technical images, as they are known, taken from the 1880s onwards are the oldest sub-collection in swisstopo’s image collection. It includes about 40,000 photographic objects. The photos predominantly show points in the national triangulation network. This sub-collection also documents how people used to work. It thus tells the story of the adventurous life of national topographers.
