Visuelle und geografische Darstellung der Sonderschulkreise:
Alle Heilpädagogischen Tagesschulen und Heilpädagogischen Zentren führen ab dem Schuljahr 2014/15 auf allen Stufen ein vollständiges Angebot für Lernende mit einer geistigen Behinderung im Bereich der Schulbildungs- und Praktischbildungsfähigkeit sowie für Lernende mit einer mehrfachen Behinderung. Die beiden kantonalen Heilpädagogischen Zentren Hohenrain und Schüpfheim führen zusätzlich je ein Internat.
Die Umsetzung der neuen Zuteilung erfolgt schrittweise ab Schuljahr 2014/15 und wird in der Regel von der Einschulungsstufe her aufgebaut.
In Einzelfällen soll weniger der Geographie und mehr dem Inhalt und der Platzzahl Rechnung getragen werden. Der Entscheid liegt bei der Dienststelle Volksschulbildung.
