Die Gewässerschutzbereiche dienen dem qualitativen und quantitativen Schutz der ober- und unterirdischen Gewässern. Gewässerschutzbereiche dienen der Information der Behörden und sind für die Grundeigentümer nicht direkt verbindlich. Gewässerschutzbereiche sind ein Element des planerischen Gewässerschutzes und Bestandteilt der Gewässerschutzkarte.
