RIMINI is a height model at a 250-m grid covering all of Switzerland. It's the oldest digital height model of Switzerland (1960s). It is ideal for overviews requiring reduced accuracy.

Statement

The heights of the grid points were read manually from the National Maps 1:25'000 (NM25) using a transparent centimeter grid, punched on cards, and transformed for processing. In the adjoining countries and in some of the Alpine area where the NM25 had not yet been available, the heights were read from the National Map 1:50'000 in a 500-m grid and interpolated linearly
