Die Karte zeigt den kombinierten Trockenheitsindex pro Region. Dieser Index fasst die verschiedenen Aspekte der Trockenheit in einem Wert zusammen. Dazu gehören Niederschlag, modellierte Bodenfeuchte und Abfluss (Fliessgewässer) bzw. Wasserstand (Seen). Der Index wird berechnet, indem die Abweichungen der Grössen von den statistischen Erwartungswerten für den Messzeitraum von 1991–2020 (sog. «Referenz- oder Normperiode») ermittelt werden. Er zeigt vor allem, wie häufig ein Ereignis vorkommt, und kann Werte von 1 bis 5 annehmen. Höhere Werte deuten auf ein für die Saison ungewöhnliches oder extremes Wasserdefizit hin.

La carte montre l’indice de sécheresse composé (combined drought index, CDI) dans chaque région. Le CDI regroupe les différents aspects de la sécheresse en une seule valeur. Ces aspects comprennent les précipitations, les données modélisées d’humidité des sols et des débits (cours d’eau) ainsi que les niveaux d’eau (lacs). L’indice se fonde sur le calcul des écarts entre les valeurs réelles et les prévisions statistiques pour la période de mesure 1991-2020 (période de référence). Il montre avant tout la fréquence d’un événement et revêt des valeurs allant de 1 à 5. Des valeurs élevées correspondent à un déficit d’eau inhabituel, voire extrême, pour la saison.

La carta mostra l’indice combinato di siccità (CDI) per ciascuna regione. Il CDI integra i vari aspetti della siccità in un unico valore. Esso include i dati relativi a precipitazioni, umidità del suolo modellata nonché portata (corsi d’acqua) e il livello delle acque (laghi). L’indice viene calcolato confrontando le deviazioni dei parametri dai valori statisticamente attesi nel periodo di misurazione 1991–2020 (noto come «periodo di riferimento»). Indica principalmente la frequenza con cui si verifica un evento e può assumere valori da 1 a 5. Valori più elevati indicano un deficit idrico insolito o estremo per la stagione in oggetto.

The map shows the combined drought index for each region. This index summarises in one value the various factors affecting drought: precipitation, modelled soil moisture and discharge (watercourses) or water level (lakes). The index is calculated by determining the extent to which the variables deviate from the statistically expected values for the measurement period 1991–2020 (known as the ‘reference or standard period’). It primarily shows how often an event occurs and can assign a value from 1 to 5. The higher the value the more unusual or extreme is the water deficit for the season.
