Die Sammlung des Luzerner Namenbuches umfasst bisher die Orts- und Flurnamen der Wahlkreise Entlebuch (ohne Wolhusen), Luzern-Land und Luzern-Stadt. Die Sammlung, die neben den aktuell gebräuchlichen auch die abgegangenen, nur noch historisch dokumentierten Namen umfasst, ist in den regionalen Namenbüchern Entlebuch, Habsburg, Pilatus und Rigi publiziert.Webkarte Orts- und Flurnamen (Luzerner Namenbuch) im kantonalen GeoportalDie aktuell gebräuchlichen Namen sind in der Webkarte des Luzerner Namenbuches eingebunden. Die Webkarten ermöglicht den Benutzenden nebst der räumlichen Lokalisation zusätzlich den Zeitraum der historischen Ersterwähnung, das Namenmotiv und die Beschreibung eines Flurnamens abzufragen. Die Webkarte beinhaltet zusätzlich zu den Namen der Amtlichen Vermessung auch die rein mündlich tradierten Flurnamen, die sonst nirgends festgehalten sind.
