Le Wasser Atlas est issu d’une carte papier de l’Atlas de l’approvisionnement en eau réalisée en 1990 par des bureaux de géologie sur mandat du SEn. Ces données concernent principalement l’approvisionnement en eau potable : sources, vannes, fontaines, puits, réservoirs, conduites,.. Plus tard le SEn attribuera un mandat pour la digitalisation de cette carte et les données seront stockées sous format SIG. Les données n’ont pas été mises à jour depuis 1990. Seules les sources captées ont été éditées par le SEn.
