Permanent Network: The Automated GNSS Network for Switzerland AGNES

Instead of providing a user with the new reference frame LV95 in a classical manner with site descriptions and coordinates, it is also conceivable to provide LV95 using permanent and stable GPS stations. The result of this approach was the Automated GNSS Network for Switzerland (AGNES).

Purpose

For surveying, AGNES is an online realization of the new reference system CHTRS95. Continuous observations provide a long-term contribution to the determination of the kinematic model CHKM95 for the Swiss geodetic reference system CHTRS95. In cadastral surveying, AGNES should promote the use of the new reference frame LV95 and help advance the rapid change from the old to the new reference system (project CC RD / LV95). AGNES forms the basis for the swipos Positioning Service. Scientific applications in geodynamics and atmosphere research
