Generhaltungsgebiete
Im Rahmen des Projekts "Generhaltunsgebiete Schweiz" werden zur Bewahrung der genetischen Diversität von einheimischen Baumarten Generhaltungsgebiete ausgeschieden. Der Datensatz beinhaltet die räumliche Ausdehnung der Generhaltungsgebiete genauso wie darauf bezogene waldbauliche Empfehlungen. Das Projekt Generhaltungsgebiet Schweiz läuft seit 2013 und befindet sich in der dritten Projektphase. Für 14 Baumarten wurden bereits Generhaltungsgebiete ausgeschieden. Bis 2027 kommen neue Gebiete für Spitzahorn, Edelkastanie, Bergföhre, Hainbuche, Winterlinde, Sommerlinde und Bergulme dazu.
