Waldfunktion - Schutzwald
Im Rahmen des BAFU-Projektes Silvaprotect ausgeschiedene Schutzwälder. Der Schutzwald schützt Menschen oder Sachwerte vor Steinschlag, Erosion, Rutschungen und Lawinen. Damit Schutzwälder diese Funktion erfüllen können, müssen sie entsprechend gepflegt werden. Damit ein Wald als Schutzwald ausgeschieden wird, braucht es eine Naturgefahr (Steinschlag, Lawinen, Rutschung, Erosion) die Menschen oder hohe Sachwerte (Wohnhäuser, Siedlungen, Infrastrukturanlagen) bedrohen. Kann der Wald eine Schutzwirkung gegen diese Gefahren erbringen, so wird er als Schutzwald ausgeschieden.
