Wildlife areas in conjunction with mountain landing sites
In order to protect wild animals and birds, Art. 4bis 1 of the Hunting Ordinance of 29 February 1988 (SR 922.01) the cantons can designate 'wildlife areas'. If there is a mountain landing site in the direct vicinity of any of these designated cantonal wildlife areas, the use of which conflicts with the aims of the wildlife area, the canton can request the FOCA to publish relevant recommendations for civil aviation (crossing height of 1500 feet above ground).
