Für die Schweiz wurden landesweite Vegetationshöhenmodelle (VHM) auf der Grundlage von Stereo-Luftbildern erstellt, die vom Bundesamt für Landestopografie swisstopo aufgenommen wurden.

Aus den ADS-80/100-Sensordaten wird zunächst ein digitales Oberflächenmodell (DSM) mit einer räumlichen Auflösung von 1 × 1 m verarbeitet. Dieses DSM wird dann unter Verwendung des digitalen Geländemodells (DTM) swissALTI3D (swisstopo) normalisiert. Gebäude und andere künstliche Objekte werden anhand von Informationen aus dem topografischen Landschaftsmodell TLM (swisstopo) aus dem normalisierten DSM (nDSM) ausgeblendet, um das eigentliche Vegetationshöhenmodell (VHM) zu erhalten. Diese VHM werden im Rahmen der Schweizerischen Nationalen Waldinventur (NFI) erstellt. Jedes Jahr wird etwa 1/6 der Fläche der Schweiz anhand der von swisstopo aufgenommenen Luftbilder mit Laubbedeckung (Mai – Oktober) aktualisiert. Des modèles de hauteur de végétation (MHV) à l'échelle nationale ont été générés pour la Suisse à partir d'images aériennes stéréoscopiques acquises par l'Office fédéral de topographie swisstopo.

À partir des données du capteur ADS-80/100, un modèle numérique de surface (MNS) avec une résolution spatiale de 1 × 1 m est d'abord traité. Ce MNS est ensuite normalisé à l'aide du modèle numérique de terrain (MNT) swissALTI3D (swisstopo). Les bâtiments et autres objets artificiels sont masqués à partir du MDS normalisé (MDSn) à l'aide des informations du modèle topographique du paysage - MTP (swisstopo) afin d'obtenir le modèle de hauteur de végétation (MHV) réel. Ces MHV sont produits dans le cadre de l'Inventaire forestier national suisse (IFN). Chaque année, environ 1/6 de la surface de la Suisse est mise à jour à l'aide des images aériennes acquises par swisstopo (mai - octobre). I modelli di altezza della vegetazione (MAV) a livello nazionale sono stati generati per la Svizzera sulla base di immagini aeree stereoscopiche acquisite dall'Ufficio federale di topografia swisstopo.

A partire dai dati del sensore ADS-80/100, viene prima elaborato un modello digitale di superficie (MDS) con una risoluzione spaziale di 1 × 1 m. Questo MDS viene poi normalizzato utilizzando il modello digitale del terreno (MDT) swissALTI3D (swisstopo). Gli edifici e altri oggetti artificiali vengono mascherati dal MDS normalizzato (MDSn) utilizzando le informazioni del modello topografico del paesaggio - TLM (swisstopo) per ottenere il modello effettivo dell'altezza della vegetazione (MAV). Countrywide vegetation height models (VHM) were generated for Switzerland based on stereo aerial images, acquired by the Federal Office of Topography swisstopo.

From the ADS-80/100 sensor data, first a digital surface model (DSM) with a spatial resolution of 1 × 1 m is processed. This DSM is then normalized using the digital terrain model (DTM) swissALTI3D (swisstopo). Buildings and other artificial objects are masked out from the normalized DSM (nDSM) using information from the topographic landscape model - TLM (swisstopo) to obtain the actual vegetation height model (VHM). These VHMs are produced in the framework of the Swiss National Forest Inventory (NFI). Each year about 1/6 of Switzerland's surface is updated using the leaf-on aerial images acquired by swisstopo (May - October).
