Einteilung der römischen Stadt Augusta Raurica. Die römische Stadt wird in Regionen gegliedert. Diese Unterteilung der römischen Stadt ist ein gewachsenes System. Weiter werden die Regionen in Subregionen aufgeteilt. In Augusta Raurica wird die Region 1 (Oberstadt) weiter in Insulae untergliedert. Insula ist die Bezeichnung für Häuserblocks in meist rechtwinklig angelegten Städten im Altertum, insbesondere im römischen Reich. Die Insulae entsprechen somit hierarchisch den Subregionen im Rest der römischen Stadt.
