Hoheitsgrenzen sind die Grenzen der politischen Gemeinden, der Kantone und des Landes. Sie liegen auf den Grundstücksgrenzen und sind Bestandteil der amtlichen Vermessung. Veränderungen von Hoheitsgrenzen müssen durch die zuständigen Organe der betroffenen Gemeinden und Kantone genehmigt werden.
