Die Daten dienen der kantonalen Verwaltung, insbesondere den Fachstellen Fischerei (AfW) und Wasserbau (TBA), zur Beurteilung des Schutzbedürfnisses einzelner Fischarten. Die Kantone sind gemäss Bundesgesetz über die Fischerei für den Schutz der Lebensräume zuständig (SR 923.0 Art. Zum anderen dienen Sie den Fischausübungsberechtigten sowie der Öffentlichkeit orientierend als Gebiete mit besonderem Schutzbedürfnis.
