Waldentwicklungsplan
Der Waldentwicklungsplan des Kanton Zürich (kurz <i>WEP</i>) stellt für das gesamte Waldareal sicher, dass der Wald seine Funktionen nachhaltig erfüllen kann. Er ist als Planungsinstrument für alle Behörden von Kanton und Gemeinden verbindlich. Der WEP besteht aus einem Textteil und den drei Teilplänen <b>Planungsgrundlagen</b>, «<b>Waldfunktionen</b> und <b>Besondere Ziel</b>.
Die besonderen Ziele werden soweit möglich und sinnvoll örtlich festgelegt, abgegrenzt und auf den Plänen dargestellt. Der Waldfunktionenplan stellt die Vorrangfunktion örtlich dar, während der Plan «Planungsgrundlagen» die vorhandenen verbindlichen Vorgaben übergeordneter
Planungen oder eigentümerverbindlicher Sachpläne umfasst.
