The dataset presented shows a non-exhaustive overview of boreholes in Switzerland. The data comes from cantons, private companies and universities and was compiled by the Federal Office of Topography swisstopo as an overview dataset. All metadata are publicly accessible. Documents associated with the boreholes, if publicly available, can be downloaded via the link in the tooltip.
The 2D data in map.geo.admin.ch comprises only the metadata of the boreholes. For freely accessible boreholes, information on the drilled layers is available in 3D via the link in the tooltip. The web application https://swissgeol.ch is called up.
