Einteilung des Kantons in Nachführungskreise der amtlichen Vermessung. Die Arbeiten der laufenden Nachführung erfolgen durch private, patentierte Ingenieur-Geometer, welchen die Nachführungskreise zugeteilt sind.

Die Daten der amtlichen Vermessung werden laufend nachgeführt.Aufgabe der Nachführung ist es, im Auftrag der Grundeigentümer Grenzänderungen vorzunehmen und diese mit Hilfe der Mutationsakten für den Eintrag im Grundbuch anzumelden.Der Regierungsrat vergibt die Arbeiten der laufenden Nachführung an private, patentierte Ingenieur-Geometer. Jeder Ingenieur-Geometer ist einem AV Nachführungskreis zugeteilt.
