Waldreservate (OW)
Der Geobasisdatensatz enthält die rechtskräftig gesicherten Waldreservate. Waldreservate sind auf Dauer angelegte Vorrangflächen zur Förderung der ökologischen und biologischen Vielfalt im Wald. Es wird zwischen Naturwaldreservaten und Sonderwaldreservaten unterschieden: In Naturwaldreservaten soll sich der Wald natürlich entwickeln, weshalb nur minimale Eingriffe (MCPFE 1.2) zulässig sind. In Sonderwaldreservaten sind gezielte Massnahmen zur Förderung der Biodiversität (MCPFE 1.3) erlaubt. Der Datensatz dient Bund und Kantonen als Grundlage für Planung, Erfolgskontrolle und Berichterstattung im Bereich Waldschutz.
