Geologisches Inventar
Das Geologische Inventar umfasst geologische hervorragende, typische Aufschlüsse und Landformen, die den geologischen Untergrund in einmaliger Weise erkennen lassen. Ins Verzeichnis aufgenommen wurden Aufschlüsse, die den Schichtenaufbau oder die Fossilführung in typischer Weise zeigen und welche besondere Merkmale der Gebirgsbildung erkennen lassen. Weiter wurden besondere Landschaftsformen, die durch den speziellen geologischen Untergrund oder als Ausdruck geologischer Prozesse beispielhaft hervortreten, mit ins Verzeichnis einbezogen. Es sind im Verzeichnis sowohl natürliche wie durch menschliche Eingriffe entstandene Aufschlüsse vertreten. Das Verzeichnis umfasst die Objekte von kantonaler Bedeutung.
