Atlas of Switzerland 3

The Atlas of Switzerland is a joint project of the ETH Zurich's Institute of Cartography, swisstopo and the Swiss Federal Statistical Office. It sets a further, internationally unique milestone in cartography with its third interactive version. There are about 2000 statistical maps from the domains of nature & environment, society, economy, state & politics, traffic, energy/communication about Switzerland & Europe. A three-dimensional section with panoramic views and block diagrams from freely selectable angles combinable with layers of topography, settlements, hydrography and satellite images. Constellations, planets, fog, clouds, cast shadows, altitudinal gradations, slopes and terrain profiles can be calculated and displayed enhance the 2D view. The prisme maps provide a threedimensional view of thematical data. Personal maps can be saved, printed and exported.
